Carl’s Jr. once again showed the world how little the male officers of this company think of women. Their new soft porn commercial was released at the end of February 2012 and shown during prime time television programs and even during a children’s cartoon programs. An executive of the company was shown saying on a Behind the Scenes video, “We’re just giving young boys what they want!”
Christ launched a campaign to get the commercial removed from the air. She encouraged people to boycott their restaurants, write the FCC to have them remove the commercial, and email, call, and write Carl’s Jr. to demand its removal. Hundreds of outraged parents, women, and even men wrote scathing comments on the company Facebook page. The FCC received hundreds of complaints.
On March 10, 2012, Christ publicly denounced the commercial released by protesting at their headquarters.Click here to view the YouTube protest. The commercial was pulled from the air within a week of the outcry with no apology from this company. Christ urges any person who was also outraged to boycott this company.
